Air Conditioners, ceiling fans and coolers are constantly used to combat uncomfortable ambient conditions for a large part of the year in most places in India. AC penetration, in particular, is poised to grow significantly, contributing to increased peak demand, emissions and overall energy consumption. With extreme heat, areas of high relative humidity, and a significant portion of the population with limited means for active space cooling, how can thermal comfort be provided to all in an affordable and sustainable fashion?

The 'Thermal Comfort for All' report prepared by the Coalition provides a holistic view on sustainable and smart space cooling strategies and recommends the adoption of the Lean, Mean and Green approach for providing affordable thermal comfort to all.
