Speaker’s bios

 
Arupendra Nath Mullick,
Vice President, TERI Council for Business Sustainability
Arupendra Nath Mullick has over 15 years of experience and as the Area Convenor of TERI Council for Business Sustainability, Mr Mullick develops sustainability roadmaps and steer CXO level engagements for Fortune 500 companies to articulate the business case of sustainability. He has trained mid-level corporate sector executives, Railway Officers, government officials and CAG Auditors on varied subjects viz. GHG accounting, waste management, climate financing etc. He has led the development of a first-of-its-kind sustainability dashboard for an NSE-listed chemical sector client to align sustainability goals with its business objectives and measure the progress of sustainability performance. He delivers training sessions on Environmental Management Systems confirming to the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 and on Sustainability Reporting as per GRI G3.1 and G4 guidelines. In addition, he has several research papers and presentations at various national and international forums about business sustainability and mainstreaming environmental management.

Rajeev Ralhan
Partner, PwC
Rajeev Ralhan is Partner in PwC India’s Climate and Energy unit and leads the Clean Energy practice. Having more than 23 years of experience, Rajeev engages with the key functionaries in private and public sector to drive actions on climate change, energy transition and decarbonisation strategy, transformative action at national and sector level, sustainable construction and building materials. He leverages the rich network of PwC clients and stakeholders for delivering value to the clients and assignments. Rajeev takes a keen interest in policy and technology developments, especially in the hard-to-abate sectors, and is currently industrial sector.

 

Ulka Kelkar,
Executive Director, WRI
Ulka Kelkar is an economist with more than two decades’ experience in climate change impacts and policy. She models the economic impacts of low-carbon development pathways for India and supports climate action in Indian cities and states. She previously worked as a consultant climate assessment specialist for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and research fellow with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). She co-chaired Think20 taskforce on clean energy and green transitions, an official engagement group of India’s G20 presidency. She has served on the Government of India’s long term low emissions development strategy task group on transport, national committee for carbon neutral village awards, and science technology and innovation policy thematic group on energy, environment and climate change

 

Saumya Malhotra,
Climate Analyst, CIFF
Saumya Malhotra is a Programme Officer, Climate at Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). Working under CIFF India Climate portfolio, she manages programmes on industries sector, sustainable cooling, sustainable finance, climate action at the sub-national level, and cross-cutting global climate policy. Before joining CIFF, Saumya worked with Indian think tank TERI, on climate finance and policy research, and worked on global forestry with the World Bank’s Environment and Natural Resources team. Saumya is based out of Delhi and has master’s in Environmental and Climate Economics.
