Strategic Work Plan : 2022-23

Climate ambition in India has steadily increased with supportive policies across sectors. A greatly encouraging development in India is the growth and expansion of the renewable energy sector, which is acting as a catalyst for low-carbon growth. Meeting the 2030 targets will require stronger stakeholder engagement and collaboration, and it is expected that India's long-term climate goals will have widespread social and economic implications for the country.

Our new annual work plan underscores our response to these critical developments. We are deepening ongoing thematic priorities in clean energy and energy access, and advancing new areas such as climate resilience. We are working to develop policy solutions and to support effective policy implementation. We are combining our knowledge, networks and resources to advance cross-sectoral, high-impact programmes.

Informed by stakeholder interviews and extensive internal deliberation, this plan will guide Shakti through the consequential coming years in the climate fight. We are deeply grateful to our funders, partners, staff and board for their engagement and support as we developed this new plan and as we begin to put it into practice. View our workplan 2022-23 here.
