The 3rd World Hydrogen Energy Summit 2023, held during October 16-17, 2023 at New Delhi, India, is the Energy And Environment Foundation’s global event offering a unique platform for hydrogen leaders to explore new energy futures. The theme of the summit was ‘Green Hydrogen: Cleaner and Zero Emission Fuel for a Sustainable Green Economy’.
The conference was attended by national and international participations from Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Malaysia, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden, UAE, UK, USA. The conference brought together leading international and domestic players, policy makers, government officials, technocrats, industry and academia on a common platform.
Green Hydrogen has the potential to become a key component of the energy mix in next few decades that captured a clear investor interest in the World Hydrogen Summit & Expo 2023.
Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation participated in the Summit. “The Indian government has published green hydrogen standards for India and negotiating with large economies for a homogenised standard for green hydrogen. However, to create demand for hydrogen in new sectors like steel, trucking and electricity, India may consider the option of utilising hydrogen produced from all sources, initially with the long-term goal of transitioning to green hydrogen,” said Shubhashis Dey, Director, Climate Policy and Climate Finance, Shakti.
