Topic I: Making India’s Public Transport Efficient, Electric and Equitable

Narayankumar Sreekumar, Associate Director, Electric Mobility, Shakti, took part in a Panel Discussion on ‘Making India’s Public Transport Efficient, Electric, and Equitable’ on December 6, 2023, at India Pavilion, COP28, Dubai. During the discussion, he emphasised, “The fusion of power and transportation sectors forms the essence of electric mobility. Consequently, prioritising the enhancement of the power sector becomes crucial for expediting the electrification of public transportation. Moreover, by leveraging clean energy through integrating renewable charging infrastructure, we can significantly minimise the carbon footprint.”

Topic II: Carbon Neutral Transport in Ladakh and Women Eco-Warrior (Tamil Nadu)

Narayankumar Sreekumar, Associate Director, Electric Mobility, Shakti, participated in a Panel Discussion on ‘Carbon Neutral Transport in Ladakh and Women Eco-Warrior (Tamil Nadu)’ on December 6, 2023, at India Pavilion, COP28, Dubai. During the discussion, he expressed, “Embracing zero-emission trucks yields numerous advantages across economic, environmental, and climate fronts. Establishing clear and attainable targets is crucial, as it not only offers clear guidance but also fosters essential investments and innovations. Strengthening fuel-efficiency standards and promoting a competitive environment through mandates for zero-emission vehicles could significantly accelerate this transition.”
