About the job

This role supports the Chief of Programmes through comprehensive research, impactful coordination of programme activities, and seamless communication processes. Reporting to the Chief of Programmes, the Programme Manager will be pivotal in delivering high-quality research support, expertly coordinating programme initiatives, and ensuring clear and efficient communication. The Programme Manager will also develop and maintain robust documentation and provide crucial information to facilitate informed and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Research Support

  • Conduct comprehensive online and offline research to support programme strategy expansion.
  • Analyze and assess follow-on opportunities identified by the Chief of Programmes.
  • Gather and synthesize inputs from Programme teams ad convert them into meaningful narrative.

Coordination of Programme Activities

  • Coordinate the successful planning and management of various activities across multiple programmes.
  • Assist the Chief of Programmes in periodic progress tracking, documentation, and reporting.
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources.
  • Coordinate with Programme teams to ensure adherence to reporting of planned programme activities.

Communication Process

  • Experience in stakeholder management, particularly in coordinating with diverse internal and external partners
  • Generate early drafts of reports, memos, and other informative documents for the Board, CEO, donors, and other partners and collaborators.
  • Develop and provide programmatic inputs to Communications.

Required qualification, experience and competencies

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Environment / Energy / Engineering /Economics or related stream from a reputed University / Institute.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience is required
  • Ability to interact and coordinate with a wider variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to synthesize inputs from diverse programme sectors into a meaningful narrative
  • Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Climate Optimist with a ‘Can do’ spirit.
  • Superior teamwork and collaborating skills
  • Drive, Commitment and Ownership of the delegated responsibilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality documentation
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively
