Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation participated in the 23rd meeting of SAMEEEKSHA (Small and Medium Enterprises Energy Efficiency Knowledge Sharing) platform organised on June 7, 2024, in Pune. The participants included representatives from Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE); MSME Development and Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO); Director of Industries, Pune Region; Green Climate and Energy Efficiency Centre, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI); Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA), Pune; Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA), Pune; The Indo German Energy Programme of GIZ GmbH, New Delhi; Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Pune; Trinity Engineers Pvt. Ltd, Pune; and other industry stakeholders.

Dr Sachin Kumar, Director, Industry, Buildings & Cooling, Shakti, in his introductory remarks, emphasised the need for bringing SMEs on board in India’s industry sector’s journey towards net-zero and hand-holding the SME sector to help them adopt new technologies and solutions.
Mr Girish Sethi, Senior Director at TERI, greeted in his opening address and provided an overview of SAMEEEKSHA, an initiative focused on enhancing energy efficiency within Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). He emphasised the platform’s role in fostering knowledge exchange and promoting sustainable practices among SMEs. Mr Sethi extended gratitude to key supporters that included Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME), and Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, underscoring their vital contributions to the platform’s success. He reiterated SAMEEEKSHA’s mission to raise awareness and facilitate the dissemination of energy efficiency strategies across the SME sector.
