The Power of Partnership
The partnership between GroW and WEP marks a strategic alliance aimed at fostering an ecosystem where women entrepreneurs in the green sector can thrive. Key objectives of this collaboration include:
- Co-Curation of Activities: Collaborating to develop initiatives that enhance financial accessibility and quality for women-led green MSMEs.
- Investor-Entrepreneur Matchmaking: Facilitating connections between high-potential women-led green enterprises and key investors. This initiative will also provide essential support to ensure these enterprises are investor-ready.
Both GroW and WEP are enthusiastic about the potential impact of this collaboration. By pooling resources and expertise, they aim to propel women-led green enterprises to new heights of success and influence. This partnership not only underscores the commitment to gender equality but also to environmental sustainability as a cornerstone of economic growth.
As we embark on this journey, we anticipate making significant strides in advancing and promoting women-led green enterprises. The future holds promise for a more inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurial landscape, where women play a pivotal role in shaping a greener, more resilient economy.
About GroW
The integration of gender considerations is pivotal for comprehensive action on climate change. Therefore, the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (SSEF), and the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) have jointly launched the network for Greening of Finance by Women (GroW). GroW serves as a professional network for women—senior leaders and young professionals alike—who are involved in or interested in advancing green and climate finance, initially focusing on India. The network aims to promote gender equity within the green and climate finance sector, fostering collaboration and leadership among women to drive sustainable development and resilience to climate challenges.
