Idam Infrastructure Advisory Pvt. Ltd., supported by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), with knowledge inputs from Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, organised an event on ‘National Repowering and Life Extension Policy & Aggregator Business Models for Wind Power Projects’ on April 9, 2024, at New Delhi.
Dr Amit Kumar Singh Parihar, Director, Clean Power, Shakti, gave the opening remarks during the Open House Consultation session of the workshop, on the wind repowering policy, potential challenges in implementing wind repowering projects, and WRPA business models.
The workshop gathered inputs from all relevant stakeholders, including the Government, IPP, asset owners, and developers to discuss the crucial initiatives that aim to:
- Create awareness about the National Repowering Policy, 2023.
- Discuss Wind Repowering Business Models for Aggregators.
- Explore and formulate innovative business model implementation guidelines for Wind Repowering Project Aggregators.
The workshop delved into the findings of a comprehensive study by Idam Infra. The goal was to establish clear guidelines and gain insights that would benefit the wind industry stakeholders in implementing wind repowering projects.
