Shakti received an invitation from Honourable Finance Minister, Srimati, Nirmala Sitharaman, to participate in a closed-door informal round-table discussion held on March 12, 2024, at Safdarjung Road, New Delhi. The purpose of this gathering was to identify actionable ideas aimed at realising India’s potential and accelerating its path toward Viksit Bharat in the coming days.
Dr Ashvini Kumar, Advisor, Shakti, was part of this gathering and shared his insights on the theme of ‘Facilitating Green Transition through ‘Panchamrit’ for Sustainable Growth’.
The discussion was designed to facilitate an in-depth, collaborative dialogue among a select group of distinguished experts. The subject experts contributed to their respective thematic groups over lunch. This was followed by an interaction of the group with the Honourable Finance Minister.
The theme was framed within the context of global imperatives to address climate change, environmental degradation, and the need for sustainable development. The term “Panchamrit”, drawn from Hindu mythology, symbolises a holistic approach to sustainability, encompassing five key elements: energy, environment, economy, equity, and empowerment. This discussion served as a platform to explore strategies, initiatives, and policy interventions aimed at facilitating this green transition and fostering sustainable growth.
