Launched in partnership with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), India Energy Transformations Platform (IETP) is IETP is an independent, multi-stakeholder group that meets periodically to discuss non-linear, radical and transformative opportunities for deeply decarbonizing India’s energy sector by 2050. IETP will conceptualize and support research activities to identify technology and policy pathways and market mechanisms that can leapfrog the highest emitting sectors to clean energy solutions. IETP members will engage with policymakers to help chart out a collective vision for the country. CSTEP serves as IETP’s secretariat. Shakti and CSTEP co-host the IETP convenings. Members actively brainstorm on research priorities, design of research projects, and provide mentorship to research teams.
