The Smart Grid Handbook for Regulators and Policy Makers is the first of a kind reference guide for stakeholders to make the optimal use of smart grid technologies for the integration of renewable energy into the grid. Smart grids can play a crucial role in the transition to a sustainable energy future. Smart Grids are also very relevant in the context of meeting India’s rural and urban electrification ambitions as well as other key initiatives like the Electric Mobility Mission. The handbook outlines the approach that is required to address both the technical and non-technical issues associated with a smart grid environment. It consists of 17 comprehensive modules relevant to smart Grids such as business models, power quality and tariff structures.
