On 31st August 2021, Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International Solar Alliance (ISA) to collaborate on opportunities in solar, energy storage and electric mobility.
The MoU will foster collaboration to advance national and global policy frameworks for accelerated solar deployment, facilitate technical and financial feasibility studies for solar and support the “One Sun, One World, One Grid” concept of the ISA. As the first initiative under this MoU, Shakti will work with the ISA to foster private sector engagement to boost solar energy in India.
The MoU was signed at the Fifth Standing Committee meeting of the ISA, which was chaired by Shri R K Singh, Minister for Power, New and Renewable Energy, India and co-chaired by France and attended by ISA Member Country delegates. Read the press release.
