Launch of Shakti’s New Brand Identity

On November 24, 2022, Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (Shakti) announced the launch of its new brand identity and introduction of its new website and logo. The new brand identity comes as at a time when Shakti, with a longstanding 13-year heritage, significantly enhanced its areas of focus in alignment with India’s rapidly growing development and energy needs. Heightened focus has been placed on accelerating large-scale clean energy system interventions that can reduce GHG emissions and tackle climate change as well as on making communities more resilient to the impacts of climate change.
Shakti’s work is expanding with India’s net zero emissions pledge having changed the entire scenario. This ambitious climate goal underscores the need for an economy-wide transition in which energy is an important constituent but not the only one. The economic development model is now very different, where India’s new net zero pledge is viewed not just as a mitigation pledge but as a new economic development narrative.

With the context having changed so much and our work horizons expanding, it was time to relook at Shakti’s visual identity. We designed a new logo, a fresh colour palette and website that are more in sync with the changing times.
New Brand Identity Launch Celebrations
The new logo, created in consultation with all Shakti staff members, is congruent with the current climate scenario and Shakti’s new focus.
The new brand identity launch was celebrated at Shakti’s office in the presence of Shakti staff and leadership. The office, decorated in the new brand colours, created a festive vibrant ambience. After the formal launch, a comprehensive training on the usage of the new brand was conducted and detailed visual identity guidelines were shared for reference. Our revamped website delivering content and information in easy-to-navigate architecture was also launched.
